I focus on 1:1 Yoga. Here is a summary of why that is:
One-to-one yoga is intended to help you with your goals. I customize yoga practices for my clients weekly to work on targeted outcomes.
Group/studio yoga can be limiting to growth in our own bodies and minds. In some instances, it can even be counter-productive such as if our self- esteems/confidence/image is damaged by viewing other yogis or if our body is injured by a pace or sequence that isn't accessible to our unique build.
Online videos are great, because you can often find thousands for free, but again, you are not receiving a practice designed for you by someone who works to understand where you are at in your health journey, help you determine long-term and short-term goals, work with you where you're at for that week and that day, help you troubleshoot/modify poses, and keep you accountability, among other benefits.
